This has high hopes for me. The finished cover is absolutely gorgeous. The premise of this is almost like a dystopian story told through both past and future. The world is suffering a severe drought. This was just a very interesting book. I did struggle to really feel attached to this one. I kept starting then going to a new book. Then back to this one then another book. It just could not hold my attention. I had trouble getting past the first 100 pages. It had a deeper, more serious tone. Even though there is a love story going on as well. It’s kind of a devastatingly tragic love story that is full of heart break. However I do find this one relatable. Especially with the way our world is nowadays. Even the love story was relatable. I think I’ll give this one another shot so I can better focus and maybe really enjoy it this time.
