Honestly, I could barely get through the geological exposition at the beginning of the book. This is clearly not my genre. The writing didn't really grip me throughout. And although the alternating perspectives were fine, it was hard to remember the years in which everything was happening. I'm not sure if this is a love story, a father-daughter story or a nature survival story so I'm sure who this should be geared toward.
