So there’s a lot to like about this story: first, I love that it’s about a father and daughter instead of the usual mother and daughter. Second, I love that there voyage involves sailing across the ocean. Finally, I like that the book discusses climate change. That being said, I’m going to respectfully pass on this one because I’ve found some of the books that discuss important topics like climate change (or systemic racism) can get a bit preachy if the author doesn’t allow the readers to come to their own conclusions instead of lecturing them. This book may not be that way, but unfortunately, I don’t have reading time to spare to find out.
