I was super curious to see what this book would be about since I loved the cover as soon as I saw it! The summary also sounded interesting, however, I found it hard to get through the excerpt.

There was a huge emphasis on the surroundings, which made it easy to get lost in the details (in not a good way), which made losing the transitions into the actual story hard to grasp. This mainly happened in the first chapter when we're introduced to Signe's life, which covers many aspects of her life. David's perspective was more interesting to me since we're in the middle of the "action" of him fleeing and trying to find refuge in the North, all the while trying not to lose hope of reuniting with his wife and child

It looks like this book is better suited for someone who is into climate change activism stories and contemporary
