I'm honestly not quite sure how I feel about this first impression. The very beginning there were some sentence structuring that was a little off. And then when switching between characters there was no obvious transition. You just had to guess who was talking.
As for the actual chapters, it was very back and forth for me. Kind of all over the place. I think, potentially, it might be better after reading more. However, this little bit only gave one chapter from each characters perspective so it came out almost disjointed.
I'm definitely getting some Cloud Atlas vibes. But also, I think there's meant to be a little bit of an apocalyptic feel as well.
As far as the cover, it really intrigued me!
