Just okay for me

To me, The Echo Wife has stronger characters and a stronger storyline than Sarah Gailey's previous novels that I've read, but the ending, while logical, fell just a little bit short for me. It almost seemed too neat for how strange the book was throughout. I was expecting something either stranger or messier, and it felt like it got a neat little bow put on it at the end. It's not that the ending was wrong or done absolutely poorly, per se - but when you have a bunch of clones at hand, wouldn't you want something other than a neat ending? Just me? That said, The Echo Wife as a whole is fascinating and intriguing - just strange enough and a storyline that will keep you guessing throughout, and it explores some super interesting scientific questions that will have any part of brain that you consider nerdy piqued. Well worth reading - just be prepared for that ending. Whew.
