I liked this but also had some mixed feelings on The Echo Wife. It is a very unique and inventive premise that is part Domestic Thriller and part Science Fiction. It is told in the first person from the point of view of Evelyn, a brilliant scientist, who will not be winning any awards for her personality anytime soon...She was not my favorite and I do think the way she’s written impacted my reading.

While I love the idea of the story, it did feel like it was missing a little something or other. It was all very passive and missing some drama or action. For the very extreme things that occurred, there was very little emotion making it hard to connect for me. It was more a recitation of events from the perspective of a very chilly narrator. I was interested enough to stick with it and it is a short book, but it fell a bit short of my expectations. 3/5 ⭐️
