This book has been popping up on my radar all over various book platforms and social media. I must say, the first impression was not what I expected. At first blush, I am really interested in what happened between the main character and her husband. I am also keenly interested in her research since it seems to be an important detail. More than anything, I think what I noticed most about this first impression is how much I didn't really like the main character. I mean sure, I want to know what happens to her, but she seems pretty cold and heartless to me. Or is that just a front??
