I was immediately taken by the feeling of dread as I was reading the excerpt. Evelyn started out as a chilly character only to become human in a few paragraphs. I'm fascinated by the hints of what her scientific research entails and I really want to continue reading! The cover is good, but it's the author who drew me in. I can't wait to read the rest!
