I have never read one of Diane Chamberlain's books and I was instantly sucked into this book. We all know that a parent's love for their child has no limits, but Caroline finds herself in unbelievable situation when she discovers that her daughter has a heart defeat and is inoperable with current technology. Like any mother, she is beyond devastated. Her brother in law tells her that he knows how to save her daughter and with a leap of faith she literally leaps of a bridge to save her daughter's life in the future. This book will keep you holding your breath as your heart breaks over and over again as Caroline struggles through her journey in the future. This book was simply heart felt and a bit of a roller coaster of emotions. The ending was simply unexpected and perfect.
