I guess that I am in the minority on my rating in this one. My thoughts as I started reading....
-The characters are pretty simple, not complicated
-The writing is pretty simple, not complicated
-I already know where this story is going.
These are not necessarily bad things, I often need a simple book like this to just read and enjoy, to destress. And that is what this book does, simple writing, plot easy to follow, quick read, don't have to think very hard while reading. Reminds me of when I used to read Danielle Steele when I was younger, without all the sex.
However, with all that said, it just wasn't that great of a book for me. It was very predictable, the characters always did exactly what I thought they would, and their dialogue was just so simple. Kinda like watching one of those Disney teen shows. Definitely not my cup of tea.
