This book has a beautiful basis that touches on a parents limitless love for their child and the willingness to do or try anything to help them survive and thrive. Caroline is in a unique position because in the 1970's they were not as advanced as they are now when it comes to performing procedures on babies in utero so I can imagination the desperation and helplessness she must feel. I look forward to reading this and my curiosity is peeked to find out how everything plays out with Hunter! Is Hunter a spiritual aide? Is he even human? Why has he chosen to help Caroline? Is the procedure successful? How did be meet her sister? What is Hunters story? So many questions that I can't wait to find the answers to!
