This sneak peak makes me want to go out and buy the book RIGHT NOW! I’ve enjoyed every book Diane Chamberlain has written, but this opening really piqued my interest and makes me want to know what happens. I want to know more about the characters already! Especially to find out who the nurse reminds the patient of.
I really enjoyed the instant connection between the nurse and ge patient and how we get to see what she is thinking behind the scenes in addition to what she says out loud. I’m intrigued because this is the prologue so I’m wondering if it jumps forward in time for the first chapter, and how far. A fantastic way to hook the reader really quickly- I bet this will be un-put-down-able and one of the author’s best books yet!
