I have adored every single Diane Chamberlain book that I have read! Her writing style is always touching and memorable. This was no exception and may very well be my favorite of hers. It is absolutely beautiful and includes a touch of magical realism, which is always certain to draw me in. Caroline Sears falls pregnant shortly before the tragic loss of her husband. She then learns her baby has a fatal heart condition. It is 1970 and there are no surgical options available; however, Caroline’s brother-in-law, a physicist named Hunter, shares a secret with Caroline that may allow her to save her baby. She takes a massive of leap of faith and finds herself in a time period she knows nothing about in order to give her baby a chance at life. I cried so many times while I was reading this story. It gave me all the warm and fuzzy feelings. Fabulous book!
