I was expecting a lot more to happen in this book. It started off strong with an intriguing opening and premise, but when I finished the last page of the book, I literally said out loud "That's it??" I wanted more in the story, and the ending was disappointing. There was so much more that the author could have done with her story, even little things that I think would make the ending (and the story itself) better for the reader.
I was expecting more of a happy book (I knew there would be dead people because of the summary of the book), but there were more than a few dark and unexpected twists that I was not expecting at all.
The writing style is a little juvenile. I would not read this book again. It was confusing how the book kept going back and forth between present day and things that happened in the past, and sometimes I was not able to tell the difference of the timelines.
