Trip Down Memory Lane
Such a wonderful story about love and loss. Sabrina is having a birthday and in this tale with a touch of mystic realism, she gets to invite five people who are deceased to her dinner.
This book made me think long and hard about who I would invite to such a dinner if I had the chance.
As the dinner begins...with drinks served and then appetizers and so on, the conversations she gets to have take on meaning. At Sabrina's dinner we have her best friend, three people who played a big role in her past, and Audrey Hepburn. Yes, the very one!
This book was short and a quick read, but it really gave me so much to think about. It explored tough topics and as readers we took the journey with Sabrina as she grappled with some difficult events from throughout her life, working out her feelings, and a way to move forward.
So if it were you, and you were given this opportunity.... who would you invite to dinner?
