The famous question: if you could invite 5 people alive or dead to have dinner with, who would you choose? Somehow, Sabrina gets to spend her birthday dinner with those 5 people she had put on dinner list years prior. No one really knows how they all got there or how it could be true, but they do know that they only have until midnight to live in this moment together.

The book spans the course of the dinner but gives many flashbacks into Sabrina’s past with the people at the dinner so the reader gains more clarity about her relationship/connection to each guest.

I enjoyed the way the story was told, giving insight into the past while trudging along at the dinner. There’s a bit of a twist I didn’t see coming, but really enjoyed while simultaneously being mad at it (you know those books where it was a good plot move for interest but you don’t want it to be true)!

Overall, it was a quick and easy read that still had some depth to it, and made me think about my own relationships, regrets, etc. I enjoyed it.
