This book is good for a few things, an enjoyable read and for sending your imagination to a dinner of your own with five people of your choosing. Which is not as easy as it sounds and I’m still not quite set on mine haha. Sabrina is celebrating her 30th birthday, and shows up for dinner with five people who have shaped her life in one way or another. It comes to show that she has much unresolved in her life and through conversation and trips down memory lane, we learn more about the difficulties she has faced and how these circumstances have shaped who she is. There were some parts of this book that tended to be less than exciting, but I felt very connected to Sabrinas relationship with her SO and was impacted emotionally but the outcome and have the same to say about her relationship with her father. I felt somewhat blindsided by how sad this book made me, because I was more so expecting a romantic read, but it was well done overall.
