We've all been asked the question, at some point in our lives, if you could have a conversation with one person, real or fictional, past or present, who would it be? The question can sometime come in any variation, and in THE DINNER LIST, Sabrina shows up to her birthday dinner to find her best friend, Jessica, and the other four people from her list of "five people she'd have a meal with..." variation of the answer.

There are so many questions I already have, very early into the book. Why does she keep her father on the list, but not her mother? (She's made adjustments from the original list we're shown.) Does she replace her historical figure with the man who instead taught her about him, or is that just the way life works? And I want to know about every step along her ten years of relationship, from first meeting to end, with the fifth guest at the table, just from the little I know from the initial description.
