I am fascinated with mermaids and so have read several books with mermaid characters. However, this premise and cover draw me in immediately!! Such an interesting concept that African Slaves thrown overboard would evolve into mermaids! I'm also interested in the idea of a historian, or merperson in charge of memories. How much pain must Yetu must be in with all those memories.
