The book looks mesmerizing. The cover itself looks dreamy and yet, when you read the synopsis, the book take on weight. It's a huge responsibility that Yetu carries, holding onto all those memories.

Then, when she finally gets some release by coming to the surface, she has to feel that a great weight has been lifted from her shoulder but unfortunately, that relief is short-lived. When she hears what the future holds for her and her people, a different type of weight must bears down on Yetu for now, she has more a a responsibility than before. She has the weight of the future of her people bearing down on her.

I'm curious to know why and how Yetu was chosen to be the bearer of the memories in the first-place and how she will now handle this new responsibility. I also want to know what these memories hold and if there any options for Yetu and her people. It looks like this book will be a page-turner.
