Having adored An Unkindness of Ghosts, I have been trying to get my hands on all of Solomon's books. And The Deep is no exception. Mermaids, Solomon, and a story about African American women who hid away and turned their oppression into magic, into mermaids. YES! This writing is lyrical and the premise for the story is beyond fabulous.
