This excerpt of The Deep is beautifully-written and intriguing, lulling you in slowly and slowly revealing the setting. The wajinru live underwater and Yetu serves as their historian, remembering their history so that others may live freely. The burden is weighing on Yetu though, and I am so curious about what she will do. It seems like something unexpected is in her future. The cover is very lovely as well.
