I really enjoyed this book! I don't even know where to begin with this book. First of all, the first thing I thought when I heard about this book was Bridgerton. I absolutely love Bridgerton as the show so having that premise for a book with all Black characters was such an amazing idea to me. I loved that we got to get multiple perspectives and the characters were so fun! This book definitely had some good character development and I really loved the writing. While this book definitely had a lot of the main things you expect from a Bridgerton related novel, like historical romance and drama, the book was also pretty serious and really explored important topics. It explored the Black community in Chicago in history and really addressed inequality. I thought that this book was both enjoyable and thought-provoking and I really think it's a book that everyone should read if they get a chance. Also the cover is so beautiful!
