I will have to say that this was a definite favorite of mine from this year. The Davenports has multiple perspectives. The book is full of feelings, it is a romance. I was into it from the very beginning, it had a nice slow pace to it. For a book that was compared to Bridgerton, which is also a historical romance it seriously fit the bill. It is a fun fun read that i am happy to read with my friend, we both enjoyed all of the romance in the book. I like the spotlight of the black community here, it gave a different perspective and made the book different from the usual which was great........ it gives the coming of age vibe in Chicago 1910 exploring the black community. It is a great diverse read that i think lots of people would love .....Romance, Diverse, Historical all in one book was a great combination. I am excited to see if this gets continued in any way.
