The excerpt I read leaves me with many questions. I wonder to what extent Olivia will become involved with the Civil Rights movement and will she become romantically involved with Mr. Dewight. I have doubts that Ruby will end up with John, as he seems more interested in the maid Amy. The characters all seem like engaging people one would like to find out more about.
