Read this one before I read the
Lux series, and I didn't feel lost at all. It actually made me want to read the Lux series even more! In this one we follow Evie and Luc as they begin to discover their lives are not what they appear to be. Evie Dasher grew up thinking that she was just a normal girl trying to just live a life among the Luxen, aliens that can pass off for human that came to Earth 4 years ago. However after running in to Luc when she goes with her best friend Heidi to a club called Fortoken she quickly finds out that her life is not what appears to be. Turns out the right is the war between humans and anti-human luxon began Luc took Evie to the Dashers to save her life. Now Evie must not only deal with normal teenage stuff but she has to deal with these new secrets that she's discovering about herself and the people around her. The only upside is she has Luc and her new band of friends by her side the whole way.
