Having read the other books in the Lux series, I felt that Jennifer L Armentrout's writing has improved from the first book. The writing style was enjoyable, the plot was intriguing, and the characters were interesting. This book is hard to review because I came into with a knowledge of the series, so my reading experience is going to be very different from the person going into without knowing the series. The revelations throughout the plot will be more surprising for someone who isn't familiar with the Lux world. Most revelations I saw coming, but not all of them!
Overall, this book left me wanting more, but in a good way. I wanted more background information on all of the characters, especially Evie, but I think that will come later in the series. The power and authority that Luc exudes in the Lux series wasn't as prevalent in this book. But again, I think that will come later on. I can't wait for the next one, and to see the final cover!
