Jennifer has a way to reeling you in with her fantasy books. And she really does it so well. There are no lows or stagnant points in any of her writing. So the story and the plot flowed really nicely together.
Before reading this book, I did read her LUX books to get familiar again with the preexisting world setting. And I feel like you don't really have to if you do read this book. It really is just a good suggestion if you are reading books that connect to other books as well.
