Personally I don't normally like paranormal romance, and this book hasn't changed my mind that much. Any tension or chemistry between the main character, Evie Dasher and her love interest, Luc, feels average at best and falls flat at worse. It's an okay read though, to be fair. It just wasn't my cup of tea at all.
Fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout, will enjoy the fact that the standard of her writing has not changed by much.
There's no love triangle, which makes it a refreshing break from the normal paranormal YA romance love triangles that I find irritating. There's room for a sequel, which I appreciate, on behalf of readers that will find the book interesting. The cover is stunning though, but is let down by the less than stunning quality of content inside of the book. Sigh.
