The publisher never sent me a copy of this book even though I had won it but they did give me access to the sequel digitally so I bought it in order to catch up. The cover is beautiful and enticing. I had not read any of the Lux books so this universe was new to me. I really enjoyed it. The chemistry between Luc and Evie is very engaging. Watching her learn about this new world and the unique powers people have was entertaining. As with any book by this author, there was incredible angst, swoon, and action.
