I have been anticipating the release of The Darkest Star for almost a year now, so when I found out I could read the first 87 pages pre-release I was ecstatic!
When reading the Lux series, Luc was always one of my favourites so I was pretty biased going into this excerpt. That being said, I thought this was a brilliant start to a hopefully amazing trilogy!
Four years after an alien invasion by those known as the Luxen, schoolgirl Evie finds herself caught up in a raid at a local club where she is introduced to the mysterious Luc. What insues is a blend of sexual tension, mystery and, of course, a whole lot of banter.
It has all the makings of a really fun read, I just hope the rest of the book is as good as this preview!
