The Darkest Minds is one of my favorite series so when I saw that Alex was writing a Zu story I went into over hype mode. AKA Scream for joy and jump around and then finally realize it'll be forever until it's published and in my hands. Reading the excerpt (as I have not had a chance to purchase the book and read it) just refreshed my love. Zu is an amazing character and her background and character growth has totally blown me away. The writing is the same as The Darkest Minds (phenomenal as always) so it's easy to fall back into the grove of their lives and this post DM world. I'm also happy that we get more interaction with new characters as well as a follow up of the country since it was a complete mess during the DM series.
