The Darkest Legacy is a sequel to the Darkest Minds trilogy, a trilogy that had a very satisfying ending and that didn't need a sequel, but nowaways it seems every series that finished several years ago are making a comeback with mixed results.
This time with follow Zu, a character that doesn't really work as a protagonist, reading her is kinda boring, her character arc is basically non existent.
Out of the two new characters, Priyanka is the best one, I think she should've been the main character instead of Zu, she had more personality and was very likeable.
Ugh, this had a very unnecesary romance, because it had to I guess. I felt so forced! The love interest is as plain as cardboard and he and Zu have zero chemistry.
The plot itself was kinda repetitve, I mean we had seen this before. I'm unsure if this will stay as a stand a lone or if there will be more sequels, but I won't read them.
