I loved the Darkest Mind series and was excited that Alexandra Bracken was coming out with a book dealing with Zu. In the previous series Zu was always shy and to herself. She was there for the ones she loved and would do anything for them. She was trustful and quick minded character. In this book its five years later and Zu is one of the spokesperson for the psi kids. I loved her character development throughout this book! You really truly meet who Zu is and she goes outside her comfort zone. She is more determined, head headed, and a strong female character. Alexandra Bracken did Zu justice and I am so glad she did. I highly recommend reading this if you loved the Darkest Minds. It really adds to the series.
