This book was amazing! I have been a huge Darkest Minds fan and when I heard about Darkest Legacy, I could not have bought the book fast enough. It was great to get back into the world again! The cover was beautiful and I was happy that we got an actual character on the cover this time. The writing was amazing (as always) and I feel like I am really transported into the book, as I can picture the scenes in my head as if I was present as they happened. The only complaint that I have is that I wasn't a big fan of having Zu as the narrator. I know that Zu, for many fans, is a favorite, but she wasn't for me. Although it was nice to have a different perspective, I wish it hadn't been by Zu. I also wish that the original characters had played more of a role in the book. I liked the new characters and they were fun to read about but I wish that we had more time with Ruby, Liam, Chubs, and Vida.
Despite that, I loved this book and am now rereading the Darkest Mind series and very much hope that we will get to see these characters again.
