This book was exciting from the first page!! the assassins and the whole book drew me in and when I finished I was in awe of how amazing the author would have to be to write such an amazing book!

It is a super entertaining true-crime period piece built around a chillingly odd sociopathic villain. It was as hilarious as it was horrifying! This is not just another Hollywood Whodunit. In the end, we find it is really about one man's search and struggle to find his own personal truths and redemption. Well written and again highly recommended!! It is a riveting and enjoyable book about how local myths are constructed, and a vivid depiction of a time and a place that felt full of possibilities.
