Not for me
This book was just not for me. I was under the impression this was a true crime novel and not a nonfiction about real estate fraud In the 1970`s. I'm not sure why I thought that but I did. It is definitely well written and i can tell there's going to be some great characterization as it continues. I'm not a huge fan of nonfiction but I just couldnt really get into this book.
Chip conducted hundreds if hours of interview footage when writing this book and it is extremely information heavy. This one is said to blend true crime with crime in the seventies and maybe I just didn't read enough into it to find this blend. Essentially this novel follows a charismatic real estate sales man and his young assistant Jerry. This duo prepares to work with new contractors to update LA miracle mile. But when the deal goes sour a murder for hire plan kicks into action.
