Wow just wow, so I finished this a couple days ago & I just had to process that ending that I did not see coming. First off Goldie is such a great character, she’s hopeful & young & in love in some parts of this story. When her life falls apart she looks forward to the summer with her bff’s from camp. When they reconnect she doesn’t tell them what has happened. It takes about half the book before the three of them divulge all there secrets to each other. The person who is murdered gets their own backstory via Goldie’s flashbacks & it weaves such a heartbreaking tale. I wanted Goldie to be happy so much through this book & to feel the bond she has with her friends just gave me that teenage nostalgia. What I didn’t see coming was the way the murder was figured out & who was behind it. It was so sinister & evil for the reason that I couldn’t put down the last couple chapters. This book will be a re-read for years to come!
