The Counselors is the perfect summer YA thriller read. Jessica Goodman really knows how to pick fun and atmospheric settings. This book whisks readers away an exclusive summer camp in the northeast. The main character and her friends are counselors know but have spent every summer at this camp for the past ten years or so. This summer everything seems a bit different though, darker and more serious. Even as they're getting, will three best friends be able to remain as close as they always were or will something get in between them? If you're looking for a fun escape to read poolside or beachside, I definitely recommend checking out The Counselors. I need to finally get around to reading Goodman's other books as well if they're also this fun.
