This book was an absolutely amazing story. Whenever I see Jessica Goodman on the cover of a book I instantly know it’s going to be good. She expertly crafts mysteries with meaning and suspense. One of my favorite things about this novel was the complex character dynamics. Goldie, Ava, and Imogen each have their own personal stories but together they combine into something more complex. They represent friendship and trust. I also loved the way the mystery was presented. This isn’t your classic who’s dunnit novel! This is more of an adventure with a small mystery woven in. The mystery is what compelled me to start reading but the characters are what made me stay. Goldie’s tragic past really contributed to her personality. I loved how it switched back and forth from present and past. Heller was a fantastic character with some different characteristics. I wasn’t sure what to think of him but by the end I think I began to understand Goldie’s love for him. Amazing story and a MUST READ for summer!!
