A solid YA mystery...
I would give this one 3.5 out of 5 stars, but I'm rounding up because I definitely enjoyed this read!
I definitely really enjoyed the pacing of this book. It was a great summer read, there is a lot of camp nostalgia that I am certain will appeal to a lot of readers. I found the characters to be likable - for the most part - and also very recognizable, realistic people.
I think the biggest drawback for me personally - not necessarily a drawback for most people - was that there were certain plot elements that were a little too unrealistic for my taste. I don't want to give away any spoilers but there were elements of the plot which were simply too unbelievable for me to swallow. These were largely related to more of a subplot than the actual mystery so they didn't detract too much from the overall plot, but I did find them distracting.
I read a lot of mysteries so I will admit that this one was a little predictable for me, but I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a quick summer read.
