good set up
The opening chapters of The Counselors do a great job of establishing a strong sense of setting, character development, and propelling storylines. I am already captivated by Goldie Easton, finding her highly relatable. I also like the then/ now alternating chapters. The pacing is good, and promises to be a page-turner.
