I was interested by the book's description, especially of all the hidden family secrets, and these three siblings that seemed so different and how their interactions would be. However, this excerpt doesn't give much to entice the reader. We don't get to meet her siblings, just her, and we don't get much background on her family life. The police officer that picked her up added some flavor to the story, but overall it was underwhelming compared to the book's description.
