I really enjoyed reading The Company of Demons by Michael Jordan. I love the cover art, it's very simple yet still super creepy. I expected this book to be more of a horror story since it's about a serial killer but it's definitely more of a mystery/suspense novel. I thought the whole mystery of who the butcher is happened a little to fast for me. When he finally discovers who this person is who has been watching him and torturing him his whole life the whole scene just plays out too fast and kind of anti climatic. I wish there had been more focus on the butcher instead of turning to the story about Jennifer, however, I really liked how he incorporated the torso murderer and would have loved to hear more about that part of the story. With Jennifer's part you kind of want to tell him he's an idiot like everyone else in his life, but I really enjoyed the ending with her. This is not my typical go to genre but overall I'm a fan, I really enjoyed the story and would definitely recommend, especially if you love a good suspenseful mystery.
