The books starts right in with the grisly murder of a bar fly. Quickly the reader finds out this might be the third rash of murders in the area. Violence and gore don't sell me so I was hoping to see some personality in the characters but the first two chapters didn't do much to give them anything past some darkness. This does not encourage me to read the book.
