The Companion sounds like it should be a sweet story about someone being there for someone else but what if you are not given a choice and if you are not their companion you may be forced back into an orphanage or, worse, if you agree to be their companion you can never leave?!

Margot loses her family within seconds in a horrific car accident. Sent to an all girls home where she is sleeps alone because of her screams from nightmares she is told she is lucky because a wealthy family has come to take her to live with them. But luck is subjective. Once inside the mansion she is introduced to their daughter who for some unknown reason no longer talks or does anything more than stare at the walls. All the parents want in exchange for a roof over her head, clothes on her body and food in her mouth is for Margot to be their daughter's companion. How hard can that be? Then again, why has no one been her companion before now, and if there have been others what happened to them? Also, what made their daughter stop functioning as a healthy young teen in the first place?

I love a mind bending thriller and this YA novel is freaking me out after only a few chapters!
