Margot lost her parents and sisters in a tragic car accident. Because of this, she is sent to live in an orphanage, uncertain of her future. One day, however, the Suttons of Copeland Estate adopt Margot and bring her to live in their eery mansion with the intention that she will be the heiress's companion. Agatha, their daughter who will eventually inherite the estate, has fallen mysteriously ill. She is fully functioning, but strangely docile and mentally separated from reality. It's up to Margot to figure out what's going on, before it's too late.

Right from the start, I was hooked on this 400+ page book. I was dying to know why the protagonist couldn't go into certain rooms in the mansion, and what secrets the Sutton family had. What was the matter with Agatha and why was her family not more concerned?

Creepy, engaging, and satisfying, I recommend this book to anyone looking for a YA page turner.
