This was a creepy story that had me hooked and I literally did not put the book down until I was done. While some of the twists I had figured out it did not take away from my enjoyment at all. Margot is traveling with her family when there is a horrible accident that leaves her an orphan. Without family or friends willing to care for her she finds herself in an institution for girls with no where else to go. She’s told she’s lucky when a rich family comes forward and the father says her father saved his life years ago. They said they want to take care of her, to repay that debt, but what no mentions until she’s there with no options on anywhere else to go is that there is a price to her living there. Their daughter Agatha has a mysterious illness and is basically catatonic. They want her to be Agatha’s companion. This story is full of twists and secrets and was completely creepy at times.
