A Great Thriller
Thrillers are not my favorite genre. Not even close. Which is pretty funny, because mysteries are absolutely my favorite drama. I think there is a fine line between thriller and mysteries. Mysteries are a lot of times less fast-paced and not as gory, whereas thrillers can go wherever at any speed.
But this book, which was a thriller, not a mystery, surprised me, in the best possible way. Margot, poor girl, becomes an orphan and gets taken in by the Suttons, who have a daughter, Agatha, who doesn't speak.
That's the basic plotline, but there is so much more depth to this book. It has a beautiful balance of thrills and suspense and mystery, but also emotion and love and family (and of course, that crush on Agatha's brother, wink wink).
I really enjoyed this book, both the writing style and the content. Even though it qualifies as a thriller.
